At Atelier Salon, we bring the luxury — without the attitude.
Your first three appointments are part of our guided Welcome Ritual Series, designed to help us understand your hair, your lifestyle, and your long-term goals. Your artist will sit with you, take notes, and build a bespoke plan that evolves with you.
During each of your first three visits, we invite you to experience one of our signature service enhancements, included with your service, so we can discover exactly which treatments and products support your hair and scalp best.
Appointment by appointment, we build on your foundation creating hair that feels effortless, consistent, and unmistakably you.
At Fringe, education begins with Maggie Lucchesi, an industry icon with over five decades of experience behind the chair, mentoring, cutting, educating, and inspiring. Trained by the very best (think: Vidal Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Rita Rusk), Maggie passes down that legacy directly to every new hire. You’ll work hands-on with her and our seasoned stylists, learning not just technical skills, but also the habits that build long-term success. From in-salon classes to Aveda Congress, from runway opportunities to real-world salon business knowledge, you’ll get a truly comprehensive education.
Where the Locals Go, And Where Visitors Return
Fringe is a local staple and a top pick for seasonal visitors. Our reputation for quality means guests come back year after year, and trust us to fix what others can’t. We’re known in the community for our incredibly high standards, top-tier artistry, and a down-to-earth environment that keeps people coming back.
Led by a Legend. Rooted in Excellence.
Maggie has been in the industry for 52 years, 46 of those as a self-employed salon owner. Fringe has been a trusted salon on Hilton Head Island for over 21 years, with deep ties to Aveda and a reputation for education, mastery, and integrity. People come to Fringe to learn, grow, and belong.
Doing Good Is Part of the Job
Community care is a huge priority for us. We’ve worked with organizations like Osprey Village and PEPP, supporting neurodivergent adults, and we’ve also welcomed survivors of abuse into our salon as guests, giving them dignity, beauty, and kindness. These efforts will always be part of who we are, and we’re actively working to expand our impact.
Work Family, Through and Through
Negativity doesn’t walk through our doors. Fringe is built on mutual respect, loyalty, and love for what we do, and for each other. We’ve got each other’s backs, pitch in without being asked, and cheer each other on. When one of us grows, we all grow. It’s fast-paced, it’s high-standard, but it’s also relaxed because we trust and lean on one another every single day.
A Career That Supports the Whole You
We believe in supporting stylists as people, not just professionals.
