CARING FOR YOU at Atelier.

We take safety very seriously, as you’ll see by the very long page below. We appreciate your support in our efforts to keep our salons safe for everyone.

  • We require that you notify us if you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, chills, shortness of breath, and not to come into the salon for the 14-day period after exposure to a positive COVID patient without your mask on, or for 48 hours of being fever free.

How Your Appointment Will Be Different:​

  • Everyone inside our salons will be required to wear masks 100% of the time, and we will adhere to all sanitation guidelines we have implemented per state and county.
  • All guests will be required to wear a mask in order to enter the building.  You must have a mask on to enter the salon.  If you’re having a hair color service, we will offer you a disposable surgical mask so your personal mask doesn’t get stained. We can’t be responsible for color stains on your personal mask.  You can swap out your mask outside of the salon or in the restroom.
  • We are asking that you come on time for appointments, due to busy schedules.
  • When you arrive, please stop at the door for a pump of hand sanitizer, then you can come inside the time of your appointment to check in.  We don’t have any waiting area, so be prepared to wait outside if you are early.
  • The changing room is temporarily closed, so please wear a shirt or top that is easy for us to cover with a cape.  Turtlenecks, polo collars, button-down dress shirts and the like will make it harder for us, while a flat collar or scoop neck will make it easier for us to cover.  We will provide a cape to cover your clothing, which will always be laundered or disposed of between each guest, but we cannot be responsible for any damages or stains to your clothes during your visit.  We have protective covers for your coats that we will either dispose of or launder in between guests.
  • Hair color will be completed with a wet finish: braid, slickback, bun, etc.  If you would like a blowdry finish, an additional $20 will be added to your total, as our stylists will add extra time to your visit.  Please advise at time of booking which you prefer so we have enough time.
  • Our stylists will wear a mask throughout your service per county order.
  • Our stations will all be 6’ apart, with plexiglass partitions between the ones that are less than 6’ apart.
  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us with as much notice as possible.  Other guests may be waiting for an appointment, and we need time to reach out to them if you can’t make it to your appointment.
  • The stations will be disinfected and sanitized between each guest.
  • Limit what you bring with you.  Ex: wallet, keys, mobile phone. Please leave all large purses, totes, backpacks at home.
  • Come alone. If you have company, they will have to wait outside.  We just don’t have the room, as we feel more comfortable with some distance between stations.
  • We are offering limited beverages for now: purified water, Aveda comforting tea, or small single servings of sparkling wine.  Please just lift your mask to sip, then lower mask.  We can’t have you remove your mask entirely.

Here’s where we need your understanding: in order to operate sustainably, we need to appropriately price all haircolor used, and for some of our clients who haven’t been in the salon for many months, this many mean double the amount of haircolor product to adequately cover those longer roots this first time back.  If we need to mix a larger quantity of haircolor product, there will be an additional product charge. Your stylist will discuss this with you before beginning the service.

Atelier has purchased disposable masks, face shields, touchless thermometers, sanitation wipes, additional gloves, cleaning/sanitizing supplies, plexiglass partitions for our front desks and shampoo stations, distance stickers for the floors and more. We have cleaned the air conditioning systems in our salons and invested in a hospital-grade HEPA filtration air recirculator for each of our salons.

We are completely committed to the safest experience to comply with state regulations for salons. However, our main focus is on YOU, and your beautiful haircut and hair color. There will be an additional $1 added to each ticket to help us recover the expense of the PPE and added safety equipment. This was an expense no business could have budgeted for, and we appreciate your understanding.

We are so excited to welcome you back into our salons. We want to hug you so badly, but for now, we will put our hand on our heart to represent our love, and a slight bow out of respect, and to let you know how grateful we are for you.
